Yanes (2024)

A tribute to Venezuelan journalist Oscar Yanes. In the process of making this sculpture, sanding the very last piece of the set it snapped. Our immediate reaction was to say out loud “Así son las cosas” as Oscar Yanes used to say every time he was closing his weekly Sunday night interview: La Silla Caliente.

Therefore the “Así son las cosas” philosophy helped us to level up and finish this ethereal sculpture. Chupate esa mandarina.
